Natural language queries

At a glance

You can query your spreadsheets by asking questions in English (or in French). The AI analyzes your question, generates the appropriate query and displays the results directly in the spreadsheet.

Before you begin

  • Have a spreadsheet containing data
  • The Agent module must be active on your workspace

Asking a question

  1. Open a spreadsheet.
  2. Click on the Ask a question... search bar at the top of the spreadsheet.
  3. Type your question in natural language.
  4. Press Enter.

Understanding the results

After processing your question, the AI displays:

  1. The interpretation — A summary of what it understood from your question.
  2. The results — The data filtered, sorted or calculated according to your request.
  3. The applied filters — The active filters are visible in the filter bar so you can adjust them manually.
info

Natural language queries apply temporary filters and sorts. Your data is never modified. Click Reset to return to the full view.

Refining the results

If the results do not match your expectations:

  • Rephrase your question with more precision (name the exact columns).
  • Combine with manual filters: natural language queries and standard filters are compatible.
  • Save the result as a view to find it quickly later.
