Filters and views

At a glance

Filters and views allow you to control which data is displayed and how it is organized, without modifying the data itself. Combine filters, sorting and grouping to create views tailored to your needs.

Filtering data

Adding a filter

  1. Click on the Filter icon in the spreadsheet toolbar.
  2. Select the column to filter on.
  3. Choose an operator.
  4. Enter the reference value.
  5. Click Apply.

Available operators

Operators vary depending on the column type:

Combining multiple filters

Add as many filters as needed. By default, filters are combined with an AND operator: only rows matching all filters are displayed.

To use an OR operator, click on the logic selector between filters.

Keyboard shortcut

Press F to quickly open the filter panel.

Sorting data

  1. Click on a column header.
  2. Select Sort ascending or Sort descending.

An arrow indicator appears in the header to indicate the active sort column.

To sort on multiple columns, hold Shift and click on additional headers. Sorting is applied in the order of selection.

Grouping data

  1. Click on the Group icon in the toolbar.
  2. Select the grouping column (ideally a Selection or Checkbox column).

Rows are grouped by value, with a collapsible group header showing the number of items. Click on the header to collapse or expand a group.

Views

What is a view?

A view is a saved configuration of filters, sorting, grouping and visible columns. Each spreadsheet can have multiple views.

Creating a view

  1. Configure your filters, sorting and grouping.
  2. Click on the Views menu at the top of the spreadsheet.
  3. Select Save as new view.
  4. Name the view (e.g. Active customers, Overdue invoices).

Switching views

Click on the Views menu and select the desired view. The All data view (no filter) is always available.

Kanban view

For Selection type columns, a Kanban view is available:

  1. Click on the Views menu.
  2. Select Kanban view.
  3. Choose the status column to use for the Kanban columns.

Each selection value becomes a Kanban column. Drag and drop cards between columns to change the value.

Hiding columns

  1. Click on the Columns icon in the toolbar.
  2. Uncheck the columns to hide.

Hidden columns are not deleted — their data is preserved. They are simply invisible in the current view.
