Editing data

At a glance

Spreadsheets allow you to enter and edit data directly in the interface. Each cell is editable by double-clicking on it, and your changes are saved automatically.

Before you begin

  • Have an existing spreadsheet (created manually or via import)
  • Have editing permissions on the workspace

Spreadsheets synchronized from a Live Data source are read-only. Only manually created spreadsheets are editable.

Opening a spreadsheet

  1. From the sidebar, click on Spreadsheets.
  2. In the My spreadsheets tab, click on the name of the spreadsheet to edit.

The spreadsheet opens in grid mode with existing columns and rows.

Editing a cell

  1. Double-click on the cell to edit.
  2. Enter the new value.
  3. Press Enter to confirm or Escape to cancel.

The change is saved immediately. No "Save" button is needed.

Adding a row

Click the + Add a row button at the bottom of the spreadsheet. A new empty row is inserted at the end.

To insert a row at a specific position:

  1. Right-click on the row number.
  2. Select Insert a row above or Insert a row below.

Deleting a row

  1. Right-click on the row number.
  2. Select Delete row.
  3. Confirm the deletion in the modal.

Deleting a row is permanent. Deleted data cannot be recovered.

Adding a column

  1. Click the + button to the right of the last column.
  2. Enter the column name.
  3. Choose the column type.
  4. Click Create.

Renaming or deleting a column

  1. Click on the column header.
  2. In the context menu, choose Rename or Delete.

Deleting a column permanently removes all the data it contains.

Resizing and reordering

  • Resize: drag the right edge of a column header.
  • Reorder: drag a column header to move it.

Multiple selection

  • Continuous selection: click on a cell, hold Shift and click on another cell.
  • Discontinuous selection: hold Ctrl and click on the desired cells.
  • Column selection: click on the column header.
  • Row selection: click on the row number.

You can then copy (Ctrl+C), delete (Delete) or apply formatting to the selection.
